Using the Rubric on the previous post you will be graded on your ability to write a formal lab report for the Bubblegum or Pill Bug Lab (your choice).
The final (typed!) report is due Friday Sept. 20th in class.  If it is not turned in IN CLASS on Friday it is late. All late work will receive a 10% penalty each day it is late.
Your lab report must have the following:
1.  A Title Page with the title of the lab, your name, period and the date it is due.  A picture is also a good ifea but is not required.
2.  Title: (yes again) with the word Title  bolded and underlined.
3.  Statement of the Problem: see your objective as a place to start.
      What question(s) are you trying to answer? Include any preliminary observations
      or background information about the subject.
4.  Hypothesis: Write a possible solution for the
          problem.
 * Make sure this possible solution is a complete sentence.

          *
        Make sure the statement is testable, an if-then statement is
recommended to illustrate what criteria will support your hypothesis
(and what data would no support the hypothesis).
5.  Materials:  Make a list
            of ALL items used in the lab. Alternatively, materials can be included as part of the procedure.
6.  Procedure:
* Write a paragraph
              (complete sentences) which explains what you did in the lab as a short summary.

              * Add details (step-by-step) of your procedure
              in such a way that anyone else could repeat the experiment.
7. Results (Data): Computer Generated NOT HAND DRAWN
* This
        section should include any data tables, observations, or additional notes you
        make during the lab.
 * You may attach a separate sheet(s) if necessary.

        * All tables, graphs and charts should be labeled appropriately.
8.  Conclusions:
* Accept or
          reject your hypothesis.
 * EXPLAIN why you accepted or rejected your hypothesis
          using data from the lab.

          * Include a summary of the data - averages, highest,
          lowest..etc to help the reader understand your results. Try
not to copy your data here, you should summarize and reference KEY
information.
*Include any analysis questions and answers in your explanations.
 * List one thing you
          learned and describe how it applies to a real-life situation.
 *Discuss possible
          errors that could have occurred in the collection of the data (experimental errors)
Format:
* Times/ Times Roman Font size 12
*  Double Spaced
* All work (including data tables and graphs) are computer generated.
* Any pictures that you hand drew should be either scanned or redrawn with labels
Does the drawing of the pill bug need to be included in the lab report?
